How To: Adjust Shutoff Sensitivity

The Flo Smart Water Monitor & Shutoff uses Shutoff Sensitivity to proactively monitor your home's plumbing system. In the event of unusual activity, it will trigger an alert to notify you. You can manage the level of responsiveness of the system to trigger alerts by adjusting the sensitivity of the device. Changing the Shutoff Sensitivity will allow you to adjust your device alerts to be less or more sensitive.

Here are the alerts that will be triggered by Shutoff Sensitivity:

Unusual Flow Rate
Unusual Duration
Unusual Usage
Unusual Activity at This Time of Week
Unusual Activity

Adjust Shutoff Sensitivity in the App:

Please note, most users are on the Moen Smart Water Network App. The Flo by Moen App is being sunsetted. Moen will contact current users when it is their time to convert to the Moen Smart Water Network App.

1. From the Moen Smart Water app Home Screen, scroll down to Devices, and select your Shutoff device.
2. From your Shutoff device, tap on the Settings tab at the top of the screen.
3. Tap on Shutoff Sensitivity.
4. Adjust the Shutoff Sensitivity to receive less or more alerts. Decrease the sensitivity to receive less alerts or increase it for added protection. Standard (less sensitive) - Only shut off water is there's a major, highly unusual water event Enhanced - Shutoff water if there's clearly unusual water events, but not for small fluctuations Maximum (more sensitive) - Shutoff water at the first sign of abnormal activity, no matter how minor

1. From the Moen Smart Water app Home Screen, scroll down to Devices, and select your Shutoff device.

2. From your Shutoff device, tap on the Settings tab at the top of the screen.

3. Tap on Shutoff Sensitivity.

4. Adjust the Shutoff Sensitivity to receive less or more alerts. Decrease the sensitivity to receive less alerts or increase it for added protection.

Standard (less sensitive) - Only shut off water is there's a major, highly unusual water event
Enhanced - Shutoff water if there's clearly unusual water events, but not for small fluctuations
Maximum (more sensitive) - Shutoff water at the first sign of abnormal activity, no matter how minor

Aplicación Flo by Moen
1. Open the Flo by Moen App and tap on the Flo Shutoff under My Devices you would like to adjust the FloSense Sensitivity for.
2. From your Shutoff device, tap on Device Settings
3. Tap on FloSense under Advanced Features.
4. Adjust the Sensitivity Slider to be less or more sensitive. Decrease the sensitivity to receive less alerts or increase it for added protection.
